Accounting firm RJI CPAs has appointed Max Lewandowski, a professional with over 13 years of experience, as an audit partner. Given his wide-ranging expertise in auditing both public and private entities, Lewandowski's addition is expected to expand RJI CPAs' audit and advisory services.
Irvine, Calif.-based RJI CPAs, a firm with FY23 net revenue of $14.1 million, has announced the addition of Max Lewandowski as an audit partner, effective October 9. With over 13 years of experience in the accounting profession, Lewandowski’s extensive expertise in auditing both public and private entities will play a key role in expanding the firm’s audit and advisory services.
Deep Expertise in Auditing and Advisory:
Lewandowski brings a broad range of experience, having served a diverse group of clients, including publicly traded companies, private equity-backed firms, family-owned businesses, and nonprofit organizations. His comprehensive knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting makes him a highly valuable addition to the RJI CPAs team.

Lewandowski’s Extensive Experience:
Lewandowski has spent his career advising a range of industries, including life sciences, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, technology, and not-for-profits. He has extensive experience in areas such as:
• Revenue recognition
• Corporate bankruptcies and restructuring
• Business combinations and divestitures
• SEC reporting
• Employee benefit plan audits
• Lease accounting
His ability to navigate complex financial topics, such as share-based compensation, complex debt and equity instruments, and fair value measurements, ensures he is equipped to handle a variety of client needs.
Professional Background:
Before joining RJI CPAs, Lewandowski served as an Audit Director at BDO USA, LLP, where he worked with middle-market companies and also had experience with Fortune 500 companies during his time at a Big 4 firm. His experience also includes guiding a private equity portfolio company through SOX implementation and helping them with an initial public offering (IPO).
Lewandowski’s addition marks an important step in RJI CPAs’ ongoing efforts to enhance its audit and advisory services, providing greater value and expertise to its diverse client base.
