Sikich has announced the addition of Jody Hillenbrand as principal in its employee benefit plan audit practice, reinforcing its leadership team with seasoned expertise in financial reporting and audit services. The Chicago-based firm continues to grow its professional capabilities in response to rising client demands and evolving audit requirements.
With more than 25 years of experience, Hillenbrand brings a strong background in refining accounting policies, improving reporting procedures, and boosting operational efficiency. Her focus has primarily been on private, middle-market companies, helping them enhance financial accuracy and improve access to capital. In her new role, she will contribute significantly to Sikich’s employee benefit plan and for-profit audit engagements.
Hillenbrand’s responsibilities will include internal inspections, engagement quality reviews, and pre-issuance report evaluations. She will also serve as a technical consultant to engagement teams and provide training to enhance audit execution quality.
In addition to her technical responsibilities, Hillenbrand will lead efforts in project oversight and staff mentoring. Her role supports the firm’s broader objective of nurturing internal talent while maintaining high-quality standards across audit engagements. With her appointment, Sikich strengthens its position in the employee benefit plan audit space, emphasizing both technical excellence and long-term talent development within the firm.
