Josh Tyree has been named CEO of Sorren as part of a strategic planned leadership transition, replacing former CEO Michael O’Donnell who transitions to executive chairman. This move is designed to support Sorren's ongoing growth strategy, continue delivering stable governance and long-term value, and reinforce Sorren's commitment to providing thoughtful leadership as the firm expands nationally.
Sorren has announced the appointment of Josh Tyree as chief executive officer, effective January 20, marking a planned leadership transition aligned with the firm’s long-term growth strategy. Tyree previously served as president and steps into the CEO role following a structured succession process.
Michael O’Donnell, who served as CEO during Sorren’s formation and early integration as a national firm, has transitioned to executive chairman. In this role, he will continue providing strategic guidance and leadership counsel as the firm advances its national expansion.
As president, Tyree played a central role in partner alignment and firm integration, bringing together multiple legacy firms into a unified national organization. In his new role as CEO, he will continue supporting partner success while emphasizing strategic direction, innovation, and the development of new service offerings.
Firm leadership noted that the transition reflects a long-established succession plan designed to ensure continuity, stable governance, and long-term value creation. The firm emphasized that the leadership change supports its continued focus on integration, cultural alignment, and sustainable growth.
Sorren stated that the appointment underscores its commitment to thoughtful leadership development as it expands its national footprint and evolves its service platform.
Until next time…
