Wall Einhorn & Chernitzer (WEC), a Virginia-based company, has promoted two professionals, John M. Waters and Mudi Zhang, to the partnership. Waters will continue to lead e:countable, a division of WEC, and Zhang, a tax expert, marks a significant milestone as the first remote employee to be admitted as a shareholder, reflecting the firm's commitment to utilizing a remote workforce.
New Partnership Appointments
Wall Einhorn & Chernitzer (WEC), based in Norfolk, Va., with a net revenue of $14.9 million for FY22, has announced the promotion of two professionals to the partnership: John M. Waters and Mudi Zhang, effective January 1.
John M. Waters’ Experience and Leadership
Waters joined WEC in 2009, bringing over 15 years of experience as a CPA and auditor. In his new role as shareholder, he will continue to lead e:countable, a division of WEC focused on outsourced client accounting and advisory services. Waters serves clients in the attest and outsourced accounting space, with a specialized focus on industries such as not-for-profits, multi-family real estate, professional services, and other closely held businesses.
Mudi Zhang’s Expertise and Milestone Achievement
Zhang joined WEC in 2015 and has rapidly advanced to her new role as a shareholder. With over 12 years of experience, she is recognized as a trusted tax expert specializing in business mergers and acquisitions, multi-state tax issues, and family wealth preservation. Zhang also marks a significant milestone as the first remote employee to be admitted as a shareholder, reflecting the firm’s growing embrace of a remote workforce. Additionally, her fluency in Mandarin Chinese enhances WEC’s ability to serve a diverse clientele.
