Weaver Admits Youmna Assad as Partner

Houston-based accounting firm Weaver has appointed Youmna Assad, a seasoned financial reporting and auditing professional, as an assurance partner for its alternative investment fund practice. Assad's appointment aims to enhance Weaver's services in the alternative investment sector and reflects the firm's growth in California, a key market for its extensive client base of over 3,000 investment funds.
Weaver, a Houston-based top 100 accounting firm, has announced the admission of Youmna Assad as an assurance partner in its expanding alternative investment fund practice. Assad will be based in Weaver's Sacramento, California, office.
With over 20 years of experience in financial reporting and auditing, Assad has a proven track record in managing complex attest engagements, particularly focusing on investment funds and real estate. Her expertise encompasses leading audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures for real estate private equity funds, private debt funds, and venture capital funds within the commercial real estate industry. She possesses a deep understanding of various reporting bases, fund structures, investment strategies, allocations, and waterfalls.
Assad holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy from California State University, Sacramento, and an Executive MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California and is fluent in Arabic.
