Esporrin brings over 25 years of experience in the asset management industry, with a specific focus on tax consulting and compliance services for various types of funds, making his appointment significant as the firm seeks to expand its reach in the New York market.
Weaver Announces Brad Esporrin as New Partner
Weaver, a leading accounting and advisory firm, has appointed Brad Esporrin as a partner in its Investment Fund Tax Services practice. Esporrin brings over 25 years of experience, primarily in the asset management industry, focusing on tax consulting and compliance services for private equity funds, fund of funds, private credit funds, venture capital, and hedge funds.
Professional Background
Before joining Weaver, Esporrin was a Managing Director in the Private Equity Tax group at a Big Four accounting firm, where he led tax engagements totaling over $7 million in revenues. He managed client relationships with CFOs, tax directors, and other C-suite executives, overseeing compliance and income tax planning. Prior to that, he served as a Director in the Alternatives Tax group at BlackRock, Inc., managing all aspects of tax for various investment strategies, including private equity, private credit, fund of funds, and hedge funds.
Educational Credentials
Esporrin holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New Jersey and a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
