He joins Weaver from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he most recently served as team leader for the Fuels Compliance Policy Branch. In that role, he led the implementation and oversight of the EPA’s national fuels programs, addressing thousands of compliance inquiries each year and playing a pivotal role in significant regulatory reforms.

Among his accomplishments, Anderson helped streamline the EPA’s fuel quality programs, resulting in substantial cost savings for the industry while easing regulatory burdens. He has worked extensively with stakeholders across government and the private sector to promote sustainable fuel initiatives. His contributions include expanding biofuel production, enabling the adoption of low-carbon intensity fuels, and facilitating the broader use of E15 gasoline blends.

Anderson has also authored impactful rulemaking and led multiple initiatives that advanced both environmental protection and regulatory efficiency. His deep regulatory insight and hands-on leadership are expected to provide significant value to Weaver’s ECS clients.

Mike Stein, partner-in-charge of regulatory consulting within ECS, emphasized the importance of Anderson’s expertise, noting that his leadership will enhance the firm’s ability to deliver effective compliance solutions in a complex regulatory environment.
