Houston-based national accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, has named Brian O’Neal as a partner in its consulting practice. The appointment forms part of Weaver’s plans to expand services in the energy sector, leveraging O’Neal's 20 years of experience in strategic initiatives across various industries from the Big Four accounting firms, which will enhance the firm's energy sector advisory services.
HOUSTON – Weaver, a national accounting and advisory firm based in Houston with a fiscal year 2023 net revenue of $255 million, has announced the appointment of Brian O’Neal as a partner in its consulting practice. This move signifies a key advancement in Weaver’s strategy to expand its services in the energy sector.
“Brian’s arrival marks an important milestone in our energy sector growth strategy as Weaver’s consulting practice continues to expand,” said John Mackel, CEO and managing partner of Weaver. “His experience leading transformative initiatives and optimizing energy trading operations will be highly valuable to our clients as they navigate a complex and evolving energy landscape.”
O’Neal brings over 20 years of experience from the Big Four accounting firms, where he spearheaded strategic initiatives across various industries, including energy, financial services, agribusiness, and industrial manufacturing. His expertise encompasses market operations, analytics, asset optimization, and commodity risk management, which will enhance Weaver’s advisory services within the energy sector.

O’Neal holds an MBA with a concentration in finance from Rice University and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Texas.
