Will Williams, a 25-year veteran of KPMG and current Vice Chair – Operations, will be succeeding Paul Knopp as Chair of KPMG's Americas Region, effective July 1. This key leadership transition comes as KPMG continues significant investments in AI, audit technologies, tax services, and analytics across North and South America.
Will Williams has been elected the next Chair of KPMG’s Americas Region, effective July 1, succeeding Paul Knopp, who has held the role since 2020. The announcement marks a significant leadership transition for the Big Four firm as it continues investing heavily in AI, audit technologies, tax services, and analytics to drive innovation and client value across North and South America.
Williams, a 25-year veteran of KPMG, has served as Vice Chair – Operations for the U.S. firm and COO for the Americas Region since 2020. His work has included oversight of technology, finance, enterprise security, and firmwide transformation initiatives. As chair, he will join KPMG’s Global Board and lead strategic execution across the region’s member firms.
“Through KPMG’s Collective Strategy, we are leveraging the strength of the Americas Region and investing in shared priorities, with an emphasis on AI,” said Williams. “We are at a pivotal moment for our profession.”
