HubSync, a platform for CPA firms, launched HubSync Halo, an AI system aimed at automating tasks across the tax and accounting engagement lifecycle and eliminating repetitive administrative tasks. The software will be featured at the June 2026 AICPA ENGAGE event, with CEO John McGowan emphasizing the transformative potential for improving efficiency and focusing on client service.
HubSync has introduced HubSync Halo™, an innovative AI operating system aimed at transforming the tax and accounting engagement lifecycle for CPA firms. This cutting-edge system is embedded within the HubSync platform and utilizes specialized AI agents to automate workflows across various stages, including engagement management, document gathering, tax preparation, delivery, and client advisory processes. By reducing manual administrative tasks, HubSync Halo streamlines engagement execution through automated orchestration and contextual awareness.
John McGowan, founder and CEO of HubSync, highlighted the challenges faced by CPAs who are often overwhelmed by repetitive administrative tasks. He emphasized that HubSync Halo allows firms to focus more on client service rather than manual follow-ups, document collection, and data entry. The platform automates tasks such as engagement letter drafting, document classification, tax data extraction, workflow management, and client communication, operating across five stages of the engagement lifecycle: engage, gather, prepare and review, deliver, and close and advise.
HubSync Halo's context-aware, agentic layer is designed to manage end-to-end engagement workflows. Its multi-agent architecture enables coordinated agents to operate across shared workflow contexts rather than isolated tasks. The platform features an API-first architecture with Model Context Protocol integration for AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot. Importantly, client data is not stored by AI providers or used for model training, and all AI-driven actions are logged and auditable with human review checkpoints embedded throughout the workflow.
McGowan further noted that firms require a more efficient way to operate rather than additional tools. As AI takes on more manual execution, tax and accounting firms can dedicate more time to delivering strategic advice to clients. HubSync plans to showcase the platform at AICPA ENGAGE 2026 in Las Vegas in June, demonstrating its potential to revolutionize the industry.
