Accounting firm KPMG has officially opened its new 12-floor headquarters at Two Manhattan West, New York City, uniting all its New York-based employees in a single location for the first time in years. KPMG deputy Chair, Atif Zaim, stress the importance of the move, stating it enhances employee experience, client perception and the firm's brand identity while reflecting its focus on innovation and collaboration in the highly competitive business environment.
KPMG has officially opened its new New York City headquarters at Two Manhattan West, marking a major milestone in the firm’s long-term vision for a more unified and modern workplace. The sleek new office spans 12 full floors in the rapidly developing Manhattan West complex at Ninth Avenue and 31st Street, giving KPMG a prominent presence in one of the city’s newest business hubs. More importantly, the move brings together all of the firm’s New York–based professionals under one roof for the first time in years, replacing multiple scattered locations across the city.
Leadership says the shift is about far more than a change of address. In an interview with Accounting Today, Atif Zaim, KPMG deputy chair and managing principal, emphasized the emotional and cultural impact the new headquarters has already had. “You could say, ‘Oh, it’s just a building,’ but it’s not; it’s more than that,” Zaim explained. “It makes you feel a different way. It makes you do things differently. The level of energy is different.” He added that the space enhances both employee experience and client perception, creating a stronger sense of brand identity the moment someone walks through the doors.
For Zaim personally, the excitement is clear. “We couldn’t be more excited,” he said. “It puts a smile on my face every morning I come here.” The new headquarters reflects KPMG’s broader push toward innovation, collaboration, and an elevated client experience as the firm continues to modernize its footprint in one of the world’s most competitive business markets.
