A bipartisan group of US lawmakers introduced the Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act on September 24, 2026, to propose a federal tax credit for qualifying film and television production. Accounting for base incentives and additional benefits, the credit could potentially reach 30% and could drive approximately $125 billion in additional US production spending, along with over 143,000 jobs by 2035, if passed.
