Visa has announced it will acquire Israeli fraud intelligence firm BioCatch for $2.4 billion to bolster its cybersecurity capabilities. BioCatch uses AI to analyze behavioral and device signals to identify suspicious activities, including account takeover and scam attempts, fitting into Visa's ongoing expansion from transaction fees into fraud prevention, risk management, analytics, and other value-added services.
