Apple has pledged to invest $500 billion over the next four years in U.S. innovation and create 20,000 new jobs. The tech giant's decision comes after a meeting with former President Donald Trump - it will diversify manufacturing and supply chain operations, establish a large facility in Houston, beef up chip production at its Arizona facility and open a Manufacturing Academy in Detroit, among other things. The move could also help Apple secure exemptions from tariffs on goods imported from China and is expected to boost the American economy.
