The U.S. government has launched the Stargate Project, a $100 billion AI initiative aimed at building national AI infrastructure, creating 100,000 jobs, and competing with China’s advanced AI investments. Backed by OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle, the initiative seeks to develop AI systems capable of reasoning and adapting like humans (AGI), serving sectors ranging from healthcare to finance.
