LinkedIn has introduced measures to combat "AI slop", mass-produced, low-value content that contributes little to professional discussions. The company has added a reporting option for low-quality AI-assisted posts, improved detection systems and replaced its automated post-enhancing feature with a proofreading tool to preserve authenticity. Despite benefiting from AI-assisted content creation in the past, the professional networking platform is now confronted with content that is high in quantity but low in originality and value.
