On September 24, 2026, the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) released Implementation Guide No. 2026-1, outlining the application of subsidy requirements for state and local governments as per GASB Statement No. 103. This guide, which follows an earlier Statement issued in 2024, aims to improve the consistency and usefulness of government financial reports, affecting entities using proprietary fund accounting and potentially necessitating revisions to classify and present financial support arrangements.
