The IRS has introduced a new supplemental claim process that will allow third-party payers to correct erroneous claims they have made for the Employee Retention Credit (ERC). This means that third-party payers are now able to adjust claims for clients who did not qualify for the ERC without impacting the valid ones, potentially providing relief for companies that mistakenly claimed the credit.
