The IRS has announced a disaster declaration for 67 counties in Texas, giving residents and businesses affected by Hurricane Beryl until February 3, 2025 to file federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments. The relief, which also avails tax practitioners working with clients in these areas, applies to any tax filing or payment deadlines falling between July 5, 2024, and February 3, 2025, providing a respite in the wake of the disaster's financial fallouts.
