Denise Davis and her bookkeeper Henry Collins have pleaded guilty to hiding $1 million in payroll for Davis' chimney services business in Mays Landing, New Jersey. The IRS unearthed the six-year tax evasion scheme after their suspicions were aroused by missing records and unusually large cash withdrawals, leading to a tax loss of over $1.1 million. Davis and Collins will be sentenced in February 2026 and December respectively, with Davis facing a potential $250,000 fine and up to five years in prison.
