Former Tricolor Holdings executives Daniel Chu, Jerome Kollar, and Ameryn Seibold are facing charges by the SEC for allegedly using auto loans as collateral more than once and presenting an inflated financial image of the company to investors. The SEC asserts that over $1.9 billion was raised between 2020 and the company's bankruptcy in 2025 via asset-backed securities, with over $945 million still outstanding, questioning the reliability of collateral reporting when executives are the sole source of data.
