CPAs are responsible for accurate reporting of CPE credits earned and should retain appropriate documentation of their participation in learning activities, including name and contact information of the CPE program sponsor, title and description of the content, date of program, location, and a number of CPE credits, all of which should be included in the documentation provided by the CPE program sponsor. Failure to complete or report CPE will result in denial of renewal of the CPA license or action by DOPL to revoke the CPA license. CPA must retain documentation for a minimum of five years from the end of the year in which the learning activities were completed.
