The Institute of Internal Auditors – (IIA) – the internal audit profession’s leader in standards, certification, education, research, and technical guidance worldwide – has announced upcoming changes to its continuing professional education (CPE) Reporting Policy. The changes, which were approved by The IIA’s Professional Certification Board (PCB), were made to ensure internal auditors regularly enhance their skills and keep up to date with developing trends in an ever-changing risk landscape.
Any surplus of CPE acquired during a calendar year may be used for the following calendar year reporting cycle (20 hours max for CIA and 10 hours for other IIA designations can be rolled over)
Grace period increased from one year to two years.
A certification will be “revoked” if the holder goes three consecutive years without reporting CPE.
A certification in “revoked” status cannot be reinstated; an individual with “revoked” certifications will need to retake the exams.

The number of CIA continuing education require may vary depending on the certification/qualification held and whether the certified individual is practicing or non-practicing. Practicing CIAs are required to complete 40 hours of CPE hours during their re-certification cycle, while Non-practicing CIAs are required to complete 20 CPE hours during their recertification cycle.

MY-CPEis an approved platform for more than 50 qualifications. If you are a professional with various qualifications and attend MY-CPE courses that are eligible for your earned qualifications, you will receive a separate certificate for all your qualifications.
Yes, MY-CPE Unlimited Access subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the subscription term unless you cancel your subscription during the Subscription Period, which you can do at any time.
MY-CPE shall not provide any refund once the subscription has been purchased or auto-renewed unless there is a specific default in providing services from the side of MY-CPE, and the user can provide the same in writing with a valid and reasonable explanation. Users are requested to read and understand the inclusions of MY-CPE Unlimited Access carefully Unlimited Access Subscription or MY-CPE firms/Companies subscriptions. If a webinar or course is canceled or withdrawn, then that doesn't warrant a refund of the subscription paid. Minor errors/ technical glitches, grammatical errors, or incorrect review questions do not warrant a refund of myCPE Unlimited Access Subscription. On price revision, previous users are not eligible for refunds. In no case refunds shall be granted based on a misunderstanding of inclusions in the respective subscription plans as inclusions are clearly indicated on the page. Therefore, please carefully read the terms and conditions on the website before subscribing to the plan.
