Hi, I'm April Simpkins, SHRM-CP, PHR, a dynamic HR powerhouse with 30 years of executive-level experience. As an HR industry thought leader, I've supported and empowered hundreds of small and mid-sized businesses across numerous industries. As an international speaker, I've shared my knowledge and expertise on leadership, culture, mental health in the workplace, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at business summits, industry conferences, and universities. My leadership extends beyond my professional role as a Chief Human Resources Officer. I served as the 2024 board chair for the York County Regional Chamber and as a board member for the SC Small Business Development Centers. I recently co-authored a New York Times Bestseller titled "By The Time You Read This – The Space Between Cheslie's Smile And Mental Illness. As a passionate mental health advocate and an Ambassador for NAMI, I'm dedicated to eradicating the stigma of mental illness.
