Job Title: US Tax & Compliance Intern

Qualification: MBA / CMA (Pursuing or Completed)
Shift Timing: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (IST)
Stipend: ₹15,000 per month

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated US Tax & Compliance Intern to support our team in managing US-based clients. This role provides hands-on exposure to US taxation, compliance processes, and regulatory requirements, along with practical experience in tax filings and documentation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of US federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.).
  • Support in gathering, organizing, and reviewing financial data required for tax filings.
  • Assist in basic tax computations and data entry in tax software.
  • Support tax compliance processes, ensuring adherence to US tax laws and filing deadlines.
  • Conduct preliminary tax research on simple issues and document findings.
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of tax workpapers and supporting documentation.
  • Help reconcile financial data with tax filings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain proper client records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of tax deliverables.
  • Use tax and accounting software for data processing and reporting.

 

Requirements

  • MBA or CMA (pursuing or completed) in Finance / Accounting.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and taxation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (basic formulas, data handling).
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to work in US shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST).

 

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of US tax concepts (a plus, not mandatory).
  • Familiarity with tools like Drake, UltraTax, or similar tax software.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
