Job Title: US Tax & Compliance Intern

Qualification: MBA / CMA (Pursuing or Completed)
Shift Timing: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (IST)
Stipend: ₹15,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated US Tax & Compliance Intern to support our team in handling US-based clients and compliance engagements. This role offers hands-on exposure to US taxation, compliance processes, regulatory requirements, and client servicing while providing practical industry experience in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation and review of US tax returns and related compliance documents for individuals and businesses.
  • Support in maintaining and organizing tax records, financial documents, and client data.
  • Assist in preparing workpapers, schedules, and supporting documentation for tax filings.
  • Support federal and state tax compliance processes and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
  • Help in reviewing financial data for tax computations and identifying discrepancies.
  • Assist in GST, payroll, and other compliance-related reconciliations where required.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of compliance engagements.
  • Use tax and accounting software for data entry, processing, and reporting.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit trails and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with basic US tax regulations, compliance procedures, and filing requirements.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support for advisory and compliance projects.

Requirements

  • MBA or CMA (Pursuing or Completed) in Finance / Accounting.
  • Basic understanding of taxation, accounting principles, and compliance processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (basic formulas, data handling, and reporting).
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to work in US shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST).

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of US taxation and compliance practices (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Familiarity with tax or accounting software such as QuickBooks, Drake, UltraTax, or similar tools.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly.
