CPA Ontario members must complete 120 CPD hours over a rolling three-year period, with a minimum of 20 hours completed each calendar year.
Newly admitted members must complete the full CPD requirements in the year of admission if admitted on or before September 30. Those admitted after September 30 are exempt from CPD for that year. Members admitted via other pathways must also complete full CPD in the year of admission. The first triennial period begins with the year of admission and is pro-rated for exemptions.

CPD credits must be completed by December 31 each year (for the reporting year).
The CPA license must be renewed by submitting the CPD Declaration by June 1 each year.
Failure to submit the CPD Declaration by June 1 results in a late fee. If not submitted by June 30, membership is suspended.
No, CPA Ontario does not allow the carry-forward of excess CPD credits.
Members must retain CPD records for at least 5 years, as they may be subject to audit.
