It is what it advertised to be. Professional quality training and CPE tracking and certificates; systems knows AZ CPA CPE requirements and categories. I've needed help on several occasions and the assistance was quick and effective; however, there were some problems with data entry. The assistance sometimes asks for input, but when I try to type it is dissallowed for some reason. On several occasions I had to close the popup to get it out of my way.

Recertification Requirements for Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)

The Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) is a professional certification for TD professionals. It is broad and measures a professional’s knowledge and skill application across the breadth of talent development capabilities. Successful CPTDs report that the process of studying for their CPTD designation was a tremendous growth opportunity, allowed them to learn and give back to the profession, and made a positive impact on their careers.

MY-CPE LLC has been pre-approved (Approval id: 12141825) by the ATD Certification Institute to offer educational programs. We offer courses specially designed for CPTD professionals. These courses are created and reviewed by experts to meet CPTD's unique certification requirements.

Recertification Requirements Overview:

Recertification Requirements	60 recertification points within each three-year cycle to maintain their certification.
Ethics Requirements	No ethics requirement.
Recertification Reporting Cycle	The CPTD certification is valid for three years, beginning the day after successfully passing the examination.
Carry-Over Points	Points may not be carried over from one recertification cycle to the next.
License Renewal Period	Within three (3) months (90 days) before the expiration date.

What is the Ethics Requirements for a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) Professional?

There is no minimum ethics requirement but for those renewing credentials before April 30, 2024, CPTD professionals need a minimum of 20 points in Continuing Education. This includes a focus on different topics, such as Compliance & Ethical Behavior.

What is the license renewal period for a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) Professional?

Renewal is accepted three months before expiration. Email reminders are sent 90 days before expiration, emphasizing professionals' responsibility for updated contact information and monitoring their expiration date.

What is the recertification cycle for a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) Professional?

Certification lasts three years, starting from the day after passing the exam. For instance, if the exam is passed on September 15, 2023, the cycle begins on September 16, 2023, and ends on September 30, 2026. Subsequent cycles begin the day after expiration and last three years. For example, if the certification expires on April 30, 2023, the next cycle starts on May 1, 2023, and concludes on April 30, 2026.

myCPE Package for a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) Professional meets all the CE requirements of professionals specified by ATD.

CPTDs must earn at least 20 points in continuing education. For credential holders recertifying before April 30, 2024, a minimum number of points must be earned in the Recertification Requirements category from programs covering new topics. After satisfying this requirement, in subsequent recertification cycles, professionals can earn continuing education points from programs covering any topic in the Talent Development Capability Model.

Recommended learning activities include live webinars, virtual events, articles, packages, e-books, certificate courses, and activities such as serving as a teacher, speaker, or moderator.

Examples of Eligible Recertification Requirements Activities:

ATD courses, webinars, conferences.
Commercially available talent development educational programs and workshops from commercial.
vendors such as LinkedIn Learning, Training Industry, etc.
Educational sessions related to the talent development industry at events such as ATD, SHRM-sponsored national conferences, or ICF programs.
ATD CI volunteer activities, such as item writing or other with pre‐assigned points awarded.
Undergraduate or graduate‐level talent development courses at an accredited institution qualify for 15 points per semester credit hour. Individual courses must be reported, not a degree

Credential holders who do not recertify by their expiration dates are officially no longer certified and must cease representing themselves as certified. There is a 30-day grace period for late renewal applications.

Points may not be carried over from one recertification cycle to the next; they must be earned within the specific three-year certification cycle.

Yes. All educational activities must be at least 30 minutes in length to qualify. After the first 30 minutes, points can be counted for quarter-point (fifteen minutes) increments.
