This certification can also be a stepping stone to CFP certification.
MY-CPE LLC offers Continuing Education (CE) for Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) (QAFP Canada) (Approval No. – CE17386). We are focused on providing quality continuing education to QAFP Professionals that incorporates the qualified subject areas. Our CE courses are authored/reviewed by industry specialists and subject matter experts. All our courses are designed in a way to ensure that courses meet your continuing education requirements.
FP PROFESSIONALS CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT OVERVIEW

QAFP professionals are required to complete 12 hours annually. Many of our programs in Live and Self-Study are approved for continuing education for QAFP professionals.
There is at least one hour of professional responsibility requirement for QAFP Professionals.
QAFP certification is valid from August 1 to July 31 each year. All QAFP professionals must renew their certification annually by July 31.
The CE reporting cycle is from January 1 to December 31.

Excess CE credits may not be carried over for more than one calendar year. Carrying forward credits can be done up to a maximum of 12 CE in the case of “Financial Planning” categories.

"Failure to renew by the renewal date will result in a forfeiture of rights to use the QAFP marks and removal from FP Canada’s "Find a Planner" or Certificant online directory until all requirements are met. The digital badge and printable certificate will reflect that the individual is no longer certified, based on the certification end date.
The official status will be listed as being under “Renewal Outstanding” for sixty (60) days following the expiration of the certification. QAFP professionals who have not renewed within ninety (90) days of the annual renewal date will have their certification canceled. FP Canada shall send written confirmation of the cancellation. Individuals who wish to reinstate their QAFP certification in the future will be subject to reinstatement policies and fees.
QAFP professionals are required to attest to the completion of their CE requirements for the calendar year specified on the annual renewal application. You are not required to submit CE supporting documentation at the time of certification renewal, but you must have supporting documentation available in the event of an FP Canada audit. Any excess credits carried over from the previous year may also be subject to audit. It is recommended that you keep all supporting documentation for at least three years.

Based on the guidelines issued by these boards regarding Recertification credit hours requirements, we recommend the programs/ webinars to be suitable for QAFP professionals specified in each webinar. However, it will be the responsibility of each attendee to ensure that they are eligible for the Continuing Education Credits based on their occupation/ job profile, knowledge requirements as well as guidelines laid down by their regulatory board before registering for the webinars.
