This course is specifically designed to fulfill Colorado's requirement of 2 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) in the area of Colorado Rules and Regulations (CR&R). Joseph Helstrom has over 35 years of experience as a CPA in both public accounting and industry with extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis, treasury, tax, information technology, legal and regulatory matters and strategic planning.  After graduation from Butler University with a degree in Accounting, Joe got his start at Ernst & Young and has subsequently served as Chief Financial Officer, Director of Treasury and Tax, Controller and Manager of Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis for both publicly traded and private companies.  Most recently, Joe has co-founded a sales finance company that operates nationally.  

Joe incorporates his background into course material that adds a practical element.  His ethics courses focus on the ethical challenges of both CPAs in public practice as well as CPAs in business.
