Jason covered a lot of information and provided very useful examples. I really like this training. Fantastic! One question I am not cleared on custodial parent and non-custodial parent. I understand that custodial parent can claim the child and filing status as HOH and claim other tax benefits. However, when the custodial parent signs Form 8332 to allow the non-custodial parent to claim the dependency exemption and child tax credit, what filing status can the non-custodial parent may use, please? Can the non-custodial use HOH as well? or he/she still filing single while claiming child tax credit? Assuming the non-custodial parent is unmarried. Thank you in advance for your help to clear this!
