The class was excellent. I don't currently work in tax accounting so the material wasn't relevant to many of my job responsibilities. However, the class taught me a lot.

Well paced and thorough presentation of a topi that is consistently overlooked for complexity and nuance. Instruction gave time to absorb the material before rushing on to the next topic. Definitely on my list to watch again,

Overall, the material was generally accurate, and I feel like this was worth my time / a good refresher. I appreciate it was offered free of charge, and will look at purchasing courses in the future as I feel the subjects and level of discussions make it worth it. Kudos to the instructor for providing that value connection to myCPE overall. I will say I was a little put off immediately at the beginning when the instructor starting talking about how he had recently (last year?)fired members of his staff, and was complaining about how he didn't want to do 230 tax returns again this coming year. That didn't feel relevant to me, the subject, or make me buy-in that this instructor is a subject matter expert on 1099 reporting. It actually took me a bit into the lesson to drop my apprehension about his level of professionalism/ egocentric nature. I was questioning - is this guy really a subject matter expert, etc? He proved he was as the course went on. I'd rather not have to dig out of a perception hole like that, though, when attending a CPE course. I also thought it was kind of tacky, and undermining of the point of CPE in general, to blatantly state there would be a long pause between the recent and last polling question - not-so-subtle-y encouraging people to step away from their computer for the last 30-40 minutes if they didn't want to pay attention.

The instructor is one of the best instructors of all classes I have attended. He is clear and precise on what and how he presents the material.

It's only 4, not 5, because the IRS has made everything related to the topic so confusing that they have probably at least tripled the number of people in the Suicide Prevention for Accountants program.
