I thought there could have been more time allocated to about how virtual currency works when you purchase, sell, transfer, airdrop gains, staking, mining, etc.

I apprciate that the instructor recognized that this is a still evolving area of the tax code and shared his opinions as well as the opinions of others in dealing with IRS on this issue. It was obvious that he had done additional reserach on this issue, rather than just relying on the IRS guidance.
