CPE Requirements

License Renewal Period

CPE Reporting Cycle
July 1 – June 30 biennially.
Ethics Requirement
Four (4) credit hours every 2 years in a Florida-specific ethics course approved by the board.
Carryover CreditsNo, Florida CPA cannot carry over excess CPE credits in the next reporting cycle. 
Subject Area RestrictionA maximum of 20 hours in Behavioral Subject Areas.

Simplifying Regulations for 2024

Florida CPE RequirementFlorida CPAs are required to complete 80 hours of CPE every two years.
Initial CPE HoursFor New licenses use the day of the year a license was issued or reactivated, then go three June 30ths into the future to determine the due date for your first reporting cycle.
