New members are required to fulfill the complete CPD reporting requirements in their year of admission to membership, regardless of the admission date.

Yes, CPA-PEI allows members to complete 100% of their CPD hours through self-study.
Eligible learning activities include-
- Verifiable CPD: Includes formal education through courses, webinars, conferences, or formal programs, as well as teaching or speaking engagements.
- Unverifiable CPD: Includes language training, volunteering (e.g., coaching or serving on a board), self-study, and participation in networking events and more.
CPD hours for a calendar year must be reported by December 31st annually.
Members must renew their license by May 31st of the following year.
Failure to report CPD hours by May 31st will result in a $100 late fee.
Yes, CPA-PEI allows members to carry forward up to 40 CPD credits to the next reporting cycle.
Members must maintain CPD records for at least 5 years, as they may be subject to audit by CPA Prince Edward Island.

Therefore, the courses listed on myCPE for CPA in Canada are eligible to fulfill Canadian CPA CPD requirements. However, we have not been explicitly approved by CPA Canada.
