CPE Requirements

Oregon CPE RequirementOregon CPAs are required to complete 80 hours biennially, with at least 20 hours every year.
Initial CPE HoursNew licensees have prorated Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements, earning three hours per month from the date of license issuance. The annual requirement of 20 hours is adjusted to two hours per month, with any hours earned in the issuance month counting towards this total.   • A maximum of 16 CPE Credits can be completed in non-technical subjects. 
  • Licensees on the municipal roster must complete 24 hours of CPE in government auditing each renewal period, with 16 hours in specific subjects. Only 8 of these hours may focus on GAAS and GAAP. View more
