Reporting Period: :

  • CIA - The CPE Reporting Cycle for CIA professionals is from January 1st to December 31st each year.
  • CFE - The CPE Reporting Cycle for CFE professionals is based on the anniversary month.

CE Requirements: :

  • CIA - 40 hours for practicing CIAs and 20 hours for Non-practicing CIAs.
  • CFE - 20 hours of CPE every 12 months.

Ethics Requirements: :

  • CIA - 2 hours on the subject focusing on Ethics.
  • CFE - 2 hours of Ethics.

Carry Over Credits: :

  • CIA – CIA professionals cannot carry over excess credits to the next reporting cycle.
  • CFE – If you have earned more than 20 hours of CPE in your previous reporting period, you may roll over up to 10 of these hours to meet your current CPE requirements.
