I realize many people are still parsing the new law and the huge 940 page mess will take much more time to uncover the details, but I would like to see a 4 hour course that covers all the tax-related provisions, such as Trump Accounts, the 529 plan changes, increase in QBI percentage, possible deductions of buildings for the first time, 2027 permanent non-itemizing charitable deductions etc. Also examples for small business owners and retirees who need to keep AGI below $150k for the 2 year temporary $6k senior deduction, the impact on charities and DAF (Donor Advised Funds) from the new charity provisions, and other commonly encountered situations would help practitioners understand how to assist clients with taking advantage of the many new provisions.
