Great presentation on the background of non solicitation, non disclosure, non compete, and non abduction of employees. Unfortunately,, this area is still so confused by a sword of Damocles that hangs over American businesses because of FTC regulations. The seminar is well worth a listen.

I had once consulted a lawyer about non-compete agreements. The other party has to give you money or value in exchange for a signature. Plus, you cannot take away one's bread and butter. Also, agreements are not valid if you have to sign it as a condition of employment. CPA firms are great for making up a contract on their own to manipulate you even though it will not hold up in court.
