Jamie Campbell was a member of the inaugural class of CEO Action for Racial Equity Fellows. The fellows will identify and assess current policies in four key areas: healthcare, education, economic empowerment, and public safety, and then recommend how existing policies can be amplified, changed to meet its intended purpose, or propose new policies. Fellows will review policies through four key criteria: impact, effort, risk, and status. His efforts here were focused on constitutional educational amendments and national police reform

Jamie was the recipient of the 2013 Dr. James Robinson Equal Opportunity Award. This award is given to recognize a Penn State faculty or staff member who has contributed to the University by improving cross-cultural understanding. He has served as a panelist on topics ranging from social justice to students’ issues. He has been a keynote speaker for various leadership programs. Jamie has been published in various texts and is an editor on Building Effective Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs: Transforming Organizational Culture Using Step By Step Organizational Change Approaches in a Globally Connected World

He is a 1995 graduate of Morehouse College where he obtained his BA in Sociology. He obtained his M.Ed. with concentrations in Adult Education and Instruction Education from Central Michigan University in 2003. Jamie holds a Ph.D. from the Workforce Education Program with concentrations in Organization Design and Human Resource Development at The Pennsylvania State University.
