Bowman & Company LLP, a New Jersey accounting and advisory firm, has elected three new partners, Kenneth M. Drewes, Michael J. Thilker, and Josette P. Traversa, effective from July 1, 2024. The move underscores the company's dedication to acknowledging and promoting talent internally, thus aiming to maintain high-quality service across several sectors.
Bowman & Company LLP, a leading accounting and advisory firm based in Voorhees, New Jersey, has announced the election of three professionals to its partnership, effective July 1, 2024. The new partners are:
Kenneth M. Drewes, CPA, RMA, PSA, CMFO
Ken joined Bowman's Governmental Services Department in 2009. He specializes in auditing county and municipal governments, school districts, charter schools, fire districts, and federal and state financial assistance programs. Ken holds multiple certifications, including Certified Public Accountant, Registered Municipal Accountant, Public School Accountant, and Certified Municipal Finance Officer in New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rowan University and resides in Washington Township, Gloucester County, with his wife, Christine, and their two children. Throughout his career, Ken has developed and instructed various continuing professional education seminars on municipal and school district accounting and serves on the firm's quality control inspection team.
Michael J. Thilker, CPA, CITP
Mike is a member of the Commercial Services Department with over a decade of accounting and auditing experience. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and holds the Certified Information Technology Professional designation. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Widener University. His client portfolio primarily includes housing authorities and non-profit affordable housing organizations, many requiring Single Audits or compliance testing. Mike also has experience with System and Organization Controls (SOC) Reporting and has lectured on topics including SOC Reporting and non-profits.
Josette P. Traversa, CPA
Josette is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey, focusing primarily on tax matters for a diverse range of individuals and businesses. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University and resides in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Josette's expertise includes tax consulting and review for individuals, partnerships, and S Corporations, with additional experience advising on international and domestic tax issues. She handles a broad spectrum of international tax matters, including foreign tax credits, tax treaties, and pre-immigration and expatriation tax planning.
These promotions reflect Bowman's commitment to recognizing and advancing talent within the firm, ensuring continued excellence in client service across various sectors.
