Many self-employed or sole proprietors find themselves having to navigate Schedule C in reporting business income. While this attachment to Form 1040 seems straightforward on the surface, there are many traps for the unwary. The focus of these two CPE hour course is on Schedule C of Form 1040 (sole proprietorship tax returns). Schedule C is applicable to those who file the basic Form 1040, as well as seniors age 65 and older who file Form 1040-SR instead of the basic 1040.

I enjoyed the seminar and the time passed quickly. it was a good refresher. i look forward to others. The instructor was well versed in Schedule C except for standard vs actual vehicle expenses. His original comment was incorrect. If the vehicle is leased whichever method is chosen the first year must be maintained. If the vehicle is owned and actual is chosen the first year it must be maintained but if standard is chosen for the first year the method can be changed. And- not mentioned- the truck used by an owner-operator trucking sole proprietor can only use actual expenses. The instructor was engaging, relevant and professional. I was most impressed that he was willing to respond to the inquiries and look into a difference of opinion rather than ignoring. A true professional and teacher.

This was an excellent webinar. The instructor did a great job. I would highly recommend this webinar. This instructor always does a great job & is extremely knowledgeable. I was extremely happy that he made sure & addressed completing the webinar in the 100 min because in the past he used to run over time & not launch polling questions timely which sometimes deterred me from taking his classes as I book my webinars back to back on the same days and needed those extra few minutes to use the restroom or grab a drink or snack as I had 6 - 8 credits that day and needed to get to my next webinar. I always thought he was a great instructor and will be looking forward to more of his webinars.

Great Presentation with taking difficult subject matter and transforming into basic easy understandable delivery. Presenter has a very calm and Pleasant disposition easy flowing delivery as well. It doesn't feel as though he has covered so much information in a way one retains the knowledge and will remember during tax season while preparing taxes in one of these ares I will hear his voice of assurance. Thankful that he went far above and beyond in the presentation delivering more knowledge than required. He has been the Best instructor I've had during my first educational experience with My-CPE.

Jason is a true educator. Speaking at a rate that I could catch all he was talking about. The information was clear. He was not just reading a script packed full of information at a rate that I wouldn't enjoy learning. myCPE webinars format is a good fit for me. I look forward to learning more with you.

Being well familiar with the fundamentals of this subject I can say that all of the key topics were covered with enough specificity to so anyone who followed the two hour presentation would be more than capable of doing a schedule C or at the very least able to recognize the important issues of the topice
