This CPE webinar teaches the core principles that make content memorable, and techniques for putting these into practice including active engagement, narrative structure, evoking emotions, and other powerful factors that trigger the storage and retrieval of memories.

Join author and research psychologist, Dr. Michelle Miller, in tackling these questions that affect all professionals working in technology-driven environments. Dr. Miller will draw on her recent book Remembering and Forgetting in the Age of Technology to discuss what works and what does not when it comes to making your message memorable.

Dr. Michelle Miller is the author of Remembering and Forgetting in the Age of Technology: Teaching, Learning, and the Science of Memory in a Wired World (West Virginia University Press, 2022) and Minds Online: Teaching Effectively with Technology (Harvard University Press, 2014).  Dr. Miller completed her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology and behavioral neuroscience at the University of California, Los Angeles. She teaches, writes, and speaks about how we can use findings from psychology and neuroscience to improve how people learn, remember, and maintain focus in a world rife with distractions. Dr. Miller is a Professor of Psychological Sciences at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and three dogs.
