Fraud is defined as the intentional false representation or concealment of a material fact to induce another to act upon it to his or her injury (as defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants).
Ethical violations and criminal activities in various industries have affected our economy over the past few decades, particularly in the banking, financial, and housing sectors. When it comes to financial crimes; mortgage fraud, payroll fraud, and credit card fraud provide ample opportunity for bad actors to steal, defraud, or cut corners.
In this CPE webinar, we will learn to take a stand against mortgage fraud by exploring the history of the mortgage industry and its role in the global financial crisis, learn to implement policies, procedures, and strategies to identify, eliminate and prevent payroll fraud, and develop various methodologies for detecting credit card fraud.
