CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR CHARTERED FINANCIAL ANALYST (CFA)

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a designation given to those who have completed the CFA Program and completed acceptable work experience requirements. CFA Institute offers Professional Learning (PL) to its members to help them cultivate their curiosity and advance in their careers.

CHARTERED FINANCIAL ANALYST PROFESSIONAL LEARNING REQUIREMENT OVERVIEW

PL Requirements
At least 20 hours annually
License Renewal Period
Renew your license by June 30 each year
PL Reporting Cycle
The reporting period is from July 1 to June 30 each year.
Ethics Requirement
2 Standards, Ethics, and Regulations (SER) credits each year are required.
Carry Over Credits
CFAs can carry over up to 20 additional PL and 2 additional SER credits. 

CFA recommends its members record at least 20 credits annually to stay current with changing practices and evolving industry demands. Many of our programs in Live and Self-Study are approved for continuing education for Chartered Financial Analysts. You can visit the myCPE website for more webinars related to CFAs.

CFAs are required to earn 2 Standards, Ethics, and Regulations (SER) credits each year. Following are the examples of the Ethics activities accepted by the CFA Institute:-

  • Professional Standards of Practice
