CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR LOUISIANA CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUTANTS (CPA)

LOUISIANA (LA) CPA CPE REQUIREMENT OVERVIEW

CPE Requirements
80 hours for each two-year rolling period, with a minimum of 20 hours per year.
License Renewal Period
January 31st, Annually
CPE Reporting CycleJanuary 1 to December 31, Annually
Ethics Requirement
The Louisiana Board of Accountancy determines the Ethics requirement each year. There is no Ethics requirement in 2022.
Carry Over Credits
Louisiana CPA cannot carry forward credits in the next reporting cycle
Subject Area Restriction
A Louisiana (LA) CPA can complete a maximum of 20 CPE hours from personal development courses in every reporting cycle.


Louisiana CPA requires 80 hours of CPE to be completed in every two-year rolling period and must be reported to the Board by December 31 annually as part of the renewal process.
