Course Description

"The House has passed the Build Back Better Plan, which provides for major tax changes, and we will discuss in the webinar"

The Senate action sets the stage for weeks of fierce negotiation and tough compromises, including for those seeking infrastructure funding “wins” and the targets of new “pay-for” measures to fund the bill, including through significant corporate, estate, and income tax increases, cuts to Medicare provider payments, and other measures.

The bipartisan infrastructure bill includes $550 billion in new spending with set-asides for roads, bridges, transit, and more. From a tax perspective, if enacted as written, this bill would terminate the Employee Retention Credit three months early at the end of the third quarter of 2021 (except for recovery start-up businesses) and would strengthen tax enforcement on transactions involving cryptocurrencies.

The infrastructure bill has received a lot of attention but other proposed legislature has recently been released which would also affect tax returns. This CPE webinar will cover the latest proposals and possible implications.

  • Explanation of Infrastructure Bill
  • A breakdown of costs of specific parts of the Infrastructure Bill

It didn't seem like the instructor wanted to be doing this webinar. Lecture dragged. Glossed over a lot of information.
