Conference Overview

Many CPA and accounting firms struggle to understand the distinction between public-facing websites and secure client portals, or question whether both are necessary investments for their practice. This webinar clarifies the different purposes these platforms serve, explores the capabilities each should provide, and helps firms determine what digital infrastructure best fits their needs and client service model. Learn how to think strategically about your digital presence and client communication tools rather than viewing technology as a confusing burden.

  • Defining the distinction: what websites and client portals are designed to do
  • Website purposes: marketing, information provision, credibility, and initial client engagement
  • Client portal purposes: secure communication, document exchange, ongoing service delivery
  • Security and compliance: why sensitive client interactions require portal infrastructure
  • Feature comparison: what belongs on your website vs. what requires portal functionality
  • Client expectations: understanding what modern clients expect from their CPA's digital tools
  • Integration considerations: how websites and portals work together in your client experience
  • Platform options: standalone solutions vs. integrated systems
