Conference Overview

"Offshoring is cheaper" is a common assumption — but firm leaders rarely see the full picture of what building an offshore team actually costs, and what it saves, once salaries, infrastructure, management overhead, attrition, and hidden fees are factored in.

This session breaks down, in concrete numbers, what it costs to build and run a 20-person accounting team in India, compared to building the equivalent team in the U.S. Participants will walk through a real cost model covering compensation benchmarks by role and experience level, infrastructure and technology costs, management and quality-control overhead, and common hidden costs firms don't anticipate — such as attrition, training ramp-up time, and compliance requirements.

The session also compares staffing models — building an in-house offshore team (DIY) versus using a Managed Outsourced Staffing (MOS) partner or Dedicated Staff arrangement — and helps firm leaders understand the true total cost of ownership for each approach, so they can make an informed, numbers-based decision rather than relying on assumptions.
