The agreed-upon procedure is probably one of the most under-utilized service engagements in the CPA's arsenal. An agreed-upon procedure engagement is one in which a practitioner is engaged by a client to issue a report of findings based on specific procedures performed on the subject matter. It is one of the alternate attestation services provided by the CPAs. Usually, the client engages with the practitioner to assist specified parties in evaluating subject matter or an assertion as a result of a need or needs of the specified project.

In his community, Muniz is a board member for Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms and served as treasurer for Family Intervention Services, and has served as a board member of for numerous other not for profit organizations, and member of the Knoll Golf Advisory Committee.
Muniz earned his B.A. in accounting from William Paterson University, where he currently serves on the College of Business Advisory and Advancement Board. He and his wife, Diane, reside in Parsippany.
